Barça to Host Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
