British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his team members.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge comes as the sports world offered its support for the champion in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
