On Monday, the tribunal was told phone records and information retrieved from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most covered child disappearance cases and continues to be open.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate recorded message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's voicemail said: "What if there is a slight possibility that I'm her? What happens next? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a life here in Poland, I simply desire to know," the message continued.

The tribunal was advised that through emails, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, transmitted early photographs to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, a data specialist with Leicestershire Police who gathered the information, informed the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the call data.

On that date, Gerry McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

That day Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I won't give up and I will prove my point."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a association online with Ms Wandelt preceding accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in that area in December 2024.

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to say the press had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she should be taken seriously in the months leading up to the appearance to Rothley, Leicestershire, in that winter.

The court learned message exchanges between the two defendants, in last November, considering endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her garbage or from silverware at a restaurant.

"We must assert ourselves," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their house, the defendant sent a text which stated: "We're currently positioned outside the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark resembling private investigators. I wanted to achieve this with Peter Andrew I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings proceeds.
